WHERE DO YOU STAND SPIRITUALLY?

Father, praising Ur holy name for another blessed morning in Christ Grateful for another opportunity to hear Ur holy word!

Father, as many have awakened to another day that was not promised, they sing praises to U for another opportunity to worship U in spirit and in truth. They know that there have been numerous times that they have succumbed to what pleased their flesh instead of their spirit; therefore, they cling closely to U to maintain their desire to stay on the path of righteousness.  They understand that life’s journey may result in them being continuously pulled into worldliness and pleasing the flesh; however, they remain positive and focused on the path that leads to the straight and narrow.  

Father, help all to honestly evaluate themselves to understand their relationship with U, through Ur Son Jesus Christ. Help them to know that their focus should never be on what man thinks about them, but it should be based on what U, through Ur Son Jesus Christ, know about them. 

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

WHO ARE YOU PLEASING?

Father, praising Ur holy name for this blessed morning in Christ. Grateful for Ur faithfulness.

Father, as many have awakened and have begun their morning journey, they pause to pray a prayer of thankfulness.  They know that nothing is possible without U; therefore, they pray for Ur continued guidance as they experience the good, bad, known and unknown. They know that U are indeed their Counselor, Advisor, Psychiatrist, Physician, and Father.  Therefore, they walk in confidence knowing that their dependency on U has never failed them.  

Father, help all to understand that loving, obeying, and relying on U is essential to their being.  Father,  help all to further understand that they are given a choice to inherit what you have purposed for them versus that which looks, sounds, or feels good, which, eventually results in pain, heartache, and defeat.  Help all to please their soul instead of their temptations.  Help them to understand that being pleasing to the eye only leads to a dependency on what is accepted by man instead of what is accepted by U.  

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
